Menthol declines on subdued demand




New Delhi, Dec 26 (PTI) Menthol prices today declined by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital following subdued demand by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing regions.Menthol bold crystal, menthol flake and mentha oil prices declined by Rs 10 to conclude at Rs 700, Rs 680 and Rs 640 per kg respectively.

Marketmen said fall in demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts, mainly pulled down menthol prices at the wholesale chemical market here.Following were today''s quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg), Rs 1,700-2,500, acetic acid (1 kg) Rs 40, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) Rs 400-450, boric acid technical (50 kg) Rs 3,800-4,000, borex granular (50 kg) Rs 1,750-1,950.
