Refined palmolein edges up on mild demand




Mumbai, Dec 26 (PTI) Prices of refined palmolein edged up in an otherwise lackluster oils and oilseeds market here today on mild buying support.Meanwhile, castorseeds bold and its oil eased due to lack of enquiries from shippers and soap industry.

Castorseeds futures also softened on poor export demand.Groundnut oil and linseed oil both ended stable in the absence of market-moving factors.

In the edible oil section, refined palmolein inched up to Rs 388 from previous closing level of Rs 387.Groundnut oil, however, closed unchanged at Rs 675.

Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 5 to Rs 2,905 from Rs 2,910 and castoroil commercial also edged down to Rs 611 as against Rs 612 previously.Moving to futures section, castorseeds February contract resumed higher at Rs 2,956, but later slipped to close at Rs 2,952 from Rs 2,953 previously.
