Nawada, Dec 28 (PTI) Two persons were lynched and another thrashed for allegedly trying to outrage the modesty of some girls in drunken state at Belar village in Bihar''s Nawada district late last night. Police said Umesh, Gopal and Surendra allegedly misbehaved and molested some girls who were sleeping in the huts.
As they raised an alarm, angry neighbours armed with sticks and sharp-edged weapons got hold of the trio and beat them up mercilessly. While Umesh and Gopal succumbed to their injuries, Surendra Singh was rushed to a government hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
SP A K Yadav and ASP A K Satyarthy were camping at the village.
