Copper rises on Asian cues




New Delhi, Dec 26 (PTI) Copper prices moved up by a rupee per kg on the wholesale non-ferrous metal market today largely on a firming Asian trend.Marketmen said besides firming trend in Asian trading, pick up in demand also pushed up copper prices.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap strengthened by Rs one each to Rs 348, Rs 369 and Rs 328 per kg respectively.Following were today''s quotations Rs per kg: Tin ingot 780, zinc ingot 119.00, nickel plate (4x4) 920-1,032,gun metal scrap 228 bell metal scrap 230, copper wire scrap 348, copper wire bar 369, copper mixed scrap 328.00, Utensil scrap 225, Chadripital 175.

Lead ingot 127, lead imported 131, aluminium ingots 104,sheet cutting 102, aluminium wire scrap 101 and aluminium utensils scrap 98.
